Technical diving courses

Technical diving is the next level for a recreational diver with some dive experience and likes to exceed the recreational diving limits. Learn different dive disciplines and specialties as dive gear configuration (double backmount tanks, sidemount tanks, deco tanks…), different diving gases procedures, deep diving, DPV (scooter) diving, and overhead environments as caves and wrecks

All the courses are taught in the two basic technical diving configurations; back mount or side mount, but always with a redundancy gas supply
The student will decide which configuration suits better his/her needs, and will do the course in one configuration (except in courses that involves mayor restrictions as small caves and small wrecks passages where side mount configuration will be mandatory)

  • Essentials backmount or sidemount

Is the first contact with a technical diving gear and some specific procedures different to the recreational diving in technics and limits.

The program can be done between 3 and 5 days depending on student’s preferences

    Divided in:

    • Theory part with a deep review of the technical dive gear, dive planification, propulsion technics, safety, team working
    • Confined water sessions
    • Open water training dives to practice the technics and enjoy diving with the new dive configuration

    Maximun depth: 30 mt (60ft)

Minimun age: 15 years with autorization

Previus level: Advanced Open Water diver

  • Open Water DPV

This course is oriented to those who like to dive longer distances, or in current conditions or just to enjoy diving while been pulled without effort

The program can be done in 2 days

    Divided in:

    • Theory part about DPV operation, how to drive the DPV and gas management
    • Confined water training
    • Open water dives to practice driving, gas management and the pleasure of been pulled by the DPV driving calm

    Maximun depth: 30 mt (60ft)

Minimun age: 15 years with autorization

Previus level: Advanced Open Water diver, recommended Essentials diver and very recommended to use a back plate and continuous harness for the proper driving technics of the DPV

  • Avanced Nitrox

This course is designed to extend the bottom times at depth in between 30mt and 40mt due to aceleraded decompresions usisng oxygen mixes greater than 50%o2

The program can be done in 4 days

    Is divided in:

    • Theory related to the effects and advantages of diving Nitrox, deco planification with deco tables, computer programs and a little overview of the ratio deco. Gas management
    • Confined water sessions
    • Open water dives using adv nitrox profiles and one deco tank

    Maximun depth: 42 mt (140ft)

Minimun age: 15 years with autorization

    Previus level: Essentials diver

  • Normoxic Trimix

This course is designed to dive reducing the narcotic effects and extend the bottom times in between 40mt and 60mt using Helium and a partial pressure of the oxygen same as the air in the back gas

This program can be done in 4 or 5 days

    Divided in:

    • Theory related to the use of Helium, diving planification and deco gases.
    • Confined water training
    • Open water dives using trimix profiles and two deco gases

    Maximun depth: 60 mt (200ft)

    Minimun age: 18

    Previus level: Advanced Nitrox

Cave Diving Courses

The Cave Diving Courses are divided in different levels, you can do them independently or in a combination of them

The difference between Cavern, Intro to Cave,Full cave and Technical Cave courses is the limits on different factors like: Sun light, cave penetration, gas available, line navigation, restrictions

  • Cavern

Initiation level in this dive enviroment. Will allow you to develop cavern dives following the safety rules and preforming the proper technics, installing guide line into the cavern, practicing zero visibility and gas management for this environment

The program can be done in 4 days

    Is divided in:

    • Theory class about limits, gas management, planification, cave formation, communication
    • Land drills related to zero visibility exits and line protocols
    • Confined water training
    • Cavern training dives

    Maximun depth: 30mt (100ft)

    Minimun age: 15

    Previus level: Essentials Diver

  • Intro to Cave

Intermediate level of this dive environment

The limits are extend a little more and we train to be beyond the diving light penetrating a little farther.

The program can be done in 3 or 4 days

    Is divided in:

    • Theory class about gas planification for longest penetrations in the cave
    • Land drills related lost line and lost diver scenarios
    • Confined water session
    • Intro to cave training dives

    Maximun depth: 30mt (100ft)

    Minimun age: 15 years

    Previus level: Cavern Diver

  • Full Cave

The only limitation for this level is the amount of gas available for the dive in the set of doubles or sidemount tanks depending in which configuration are you training, accelerated decompresions and mayor restrictions

The program can be done in 3 or 4 days

    Is divided in:

    • Theory part about complex line navigation, cave level gas manegaent, cave maps
    • Land drills to practice, navigation and restrictions
    • Confined water training
    • Cave training dives

    Maximun depth: 30mt (100ft)

    Minimun age: 18 years

Previus level: Intro to Cave Diver

  • Technical Cave

This level is designed to those who want to do safe accelerated decompresions in caves using decompression gases

The program can be done in 3 or 4 days

    Is divided in:

    • Decompresion theory and cave decompression gas management, deco tanks preparation
    • Confined water training
    • Decompresion cave training dives to practice the required technics

Maximun depth: dependending on student´s previus certification

    Minimun age: 18 years

    Previus level: Full Cave Diver
